Observations & Assessments

You’re working on big changes, but is it working? You need a fresh perspective for several reasons…

Observations and Assessments

You need a fresh perspective

When you’re in the middle of big changes, it can be difficult to see whether the changes are having the impact you’re looking for:

  1. You think you’re adjusting behavior, but are you doing enough?
  2. How are others reacting to your changes in behavior?
  3. Are your direct reports making a paradigm shift or merely a language shift?

Observations

Observations are ways for you to get a fresh and unbiased perspective on your own behavior or the behavior of others. With an observation package, we work together to establish which behaviors you are working on changing and how you want them to change. Then we establish what opportunities exist for observation. These include board presentations, team meetings, your 1:1 meetings, and other similar events. I attend these meetings as a silent observer, taking notes in line with the framing we co-created. We end the engagement with a meeting to review the observation report.

Observation sessions can also be included in 1:1 coaching and group workshop packages.

Al is able to step back and truly see the big picture to uncover less traditional approaches with an intellectual and attitudinal openness.

Assessments

Sometimes you need a new lens through which to see yourself and your situation. Assessments are one type of lens. They are opinionated and structured ways of organizing the complex and chaotic human experience. No assessment is correct - some of them are useful.

If you’re interested in an assessment, or if you have assessments available to you and need support getting the most out of them, contact me. Assessments can be added to any 1:1 coaching package or group workshop.
